UConn taiko is a student-run traditional Japanese drumming group at the University of Connecticut, Storrs Campus. The group was started in the fall of 2004. The goal of the group is to learn both about Japanese culture and about the art of taiko drumming in a fun and friendly atmosphere. We meet every Thursday from 7:30 to 9:30 in room 108 in the music building. All are welcome and no experience is necessary.
