World Percussion Night!

 

 

A culmination of the semester's work in a single concert for 5 of BGSU's World Music and Percussion Ensembles. A truly amazing spectacle featuring both student and faculty members immersed not only in the skill to reproduce musics from outside of the Western Classical Pedagogy but also in the culture that constructed the music itself and why.

This you can see in the passion that we put into our ensembles here at BGSU. This years Spring World Percussion Night will feature the following performing ensembles:

 

The Afro-Caribbean Dance Ensemble

Capoeira Mandinga

Kasuma Sari Balinese Gamelan (No longer performing due to technical difficulties)

Hayabusa Taiko

Kaze no Daichi Taiko

 

8:00pm Kobacker Hall, Located in the Moore Musical Arts center, Bowling Green State University, Bowling Green, OH.

 

The concert is completely free of charge and is sure to be a good time, just like it is every semester!
